Ceroli Crisis: Complete Guide 2020

Ceroli Crisis is a game mode in Rise of Kingdoms where you team up with 3 other players to form a team and fight a Ceroli Crisis boss of your choosing. On defeating the boss, all players involved in that raid will receive various rewards and Coins, which can be used to purchase items in the Ceroli Crisis Shop.

In this guide, we will talk about all the currently available Ceroli Crisis bosses and how you can beat them.

Difficulty

There are 5 levels of difficulty in the Ceroli Crisis. Players are allowed to play the event on a certain difficulty if they meet the minimum power threshold.

  • Easy
  • Normal
  • Hard
  • Nightmare
  • Hell

Reward quality improves as difficulty increases and the amount of Coins that you get doubles for every difficulty.

Bosses

There are currently four Bosses available in Ceroli Crisis and a silhouette of the 5th Boss, at least we know how he looks like. Lilith has not yet announced the release date for the 5th Boss.

Every Boss has unique skill set except 1 Skill, which is common for all the available Bosses. When facing Ceroli Crisis Bosses, we’d advice that you and your teammates each take a cardinal position (i.e North, East, South, West), this is important to avoid getting hit by a Boss’ AoE skill/s.

Ceroli Crisis Keira

Keira is probably the easiest Ceroli Crisis Boss available. In order to defeat her, we’d suggest that you use High DPS commanders with mobility and AoE damage. You need mobility to move around the map to avoid her skills and AoE damage to deal with her summons. Let’s take a look at her skills.

Ceroli Crisis Curse of Jealousy
Curse of Jealousy
Choose a target at random that is attacking you. After 3 seconds, deal area of effect damage in a small area centered on the target. Enemies who take damage from this skill take 50% extra damage for 20 seconds

The damage itself from this skill isn’t high but you still want to avoid “Blowing up” your teammates as the slow that it applies has significant impact on your and your teammate’s mobility. If you and your teammates are already in one of the four cardinal position each then it should be fine for everyone else who didn’t take damage from this skill.

Ceroli Crisis Endless Dusk
Endless Dusk
Every 55 seconds after the battle starts, there will be a brief warning followed by a rain of arrows covering the entire map for 8 seconds. Damage caused by the arrows will increase for every second they rain down.

This is the skill, why you want to be mobile at all times and try to avoid taking damage from Curse of Jealousy. Right before Keira uses Endless Dusk, two domes spawn in the map, try to get into one of these domes as fast as you can to avoid taking damage from this Skill. If you’re using Cavalry/Archer and you get hit by this skill for the entire duration it will melt you.

Ceroli Crisis Ceroli Warrior
Ceroli Warrior
When attacked, there is a chance to summon guardians (cooldown 10 seconds). The guardians have an active ability which deals damage to a single target
Ceroli Crisis Ceroli Executioner
Ceroli Executioner
When attacked, there is a chance to summon elite guardians (cooldown 10 seconds). Elite guardians have an active ability which deals damage to up to p to 3 targets in a forward-facing cone and heals some wounded troops.
Ceroli Crisis Royal Bloodline
Royal Bloodline
After being in battle for 300 seconds, all damage dealt is increased by 10000%
Ceroli Crisis Ruthlessness
Ruthlessness
Deals massive damage (Damage Factor 500) to the target.

The rest of Keira’s skills are pretty straightforward. Ruthlessness doesn’t deal enough damage to worry about it. Ceroli Warrior and Ceroli Executioner summons Guardians and Elite Guardians respectively. Use AoE commanders to deal with them easily. You might get overwhelmed by all the summons if you don’t have enough AoE damage to deal with them. Finally we have Royal Bloodline, this skill is common for all Ceroli Crisis Bosses. You need to kill the Boss before they activate this skill.

Ceroli Crisis Frida

Unlike Keira, you don’t need mobility to defeat Frida. However, you need a lot more AoE Damage.

Ceroli Crisis Blade of Rhime
Blade of Rime
While in Normal Form, expend 2500 Rage and deal damage to All enemies in a forward-facing fan-shaped area.
Ceroli Crisis Arctic Expanse
Arctic Expanse
Whenever attacked, there’s a chance to deal delayed area damage underneath a random target
Ceroli Crisis Freezing Seal
Freezing Seal
Frida Starts the battle in a Normal Form. After 90 seconds, Frida enters the Frozen Form, making her invincible while reducing her attack by 50%. The form lasts for 60 seconds.
Ceroli Crisis Relentless Assault
Relentless Assault
After entering Frozen Form, continuously summons troops to attack Governors. On HARD Difficulty or above, normal attacks of summoned elite troops deal area damage (Damage factor 200) to all targets in a forward-facing fan-shaped area near their primary target.
Ceroli Crisis Freezing Gasp
Freezing Gasp
Frida’s summoned troops have a 30% chance to debuff their targets on normal attacks, reducing their defense by 5% for 10 seconds, stacks up to 15% times.
Ceroli Crisis Thawing Point
Thawing Point
When Frozen Form ends, deals area damage multiple times in a circular area, Frida then reverts back to Normal form but increases all damage taken by 50% for 60 seconds.
Ceroli Crisis Blades of Defrost
Blades of Defrost
The troops led and summoned by Frida deal reduce damage to infantry units
Ceroli Crisis Royal Bloodline
Royal Bloodline
After being in the battle for 600 seconds, all damage dealt is increased by 10000%.

The recommended setup for Frida would be 1 Tank march and 3 DPS marches. Guan Yu and Alexander are an excellent pair to tank her damage, this is partly because they have high both single target and AoE damage, and thanks to Blades of Defrost, Infantry units take reduced damage from Frida. For DPS marches use any Legendary commander that has AoE damage, like Yi Seong-Gye, Æthelflæd, or Epic commanders like Sun Tzu, Baibars or Keira.

In order to avoid getting caught in Blade of Rime‘s and Arctic Expanse‘s AoE damage, you need to stay as far as possible from your teammate so that only one march takes damage from these skills. You can do this by moving to one of the four cardinal positions (North, East, South, and West).

Whenever Frida enters “Frozen Form” after using Freezing Seal, she becomes invulnerable and immobilized. Get away as far as possible from her, possibly to one of the corners is Frida is in the centre. During this state, she will continuously summon troops that’ll attack all four marches. These troop place a debuff on you that reduces your defence by 5% for 10 seconds, stacks up to 15% times, you need to group them up and kill them as soon as possible. When “Frozen Form” ends, Frida uses Thawing Point, you need to avoid getting hit by this skill. It’s a circular AoE skill that covers a large area and deals massive damage, do not try to tank this skill.

You need to kill Frida under 10 mins before she uses Royal Bloodline.

Ceroli Crisis Spear Volley
Spear Volley
While in Spear Stance, expend 2000 Range and deals direct damage to all enemies in a forward-facing fan-shaped area.
Ceroli Crisis Puncture Wounds
Puncture Wounds
While in Spear Stance, any target struck by Astrid´s skills will be debuffed for 60 seconds (increased the target´s Continuous Damage Taken by 500%). This effect can stack, and each stack will refresh the duration of the entire stack. This effect cannot be removed.
Ceroli Crisis Ways of Fire
Ways of Fire
While in Spear Stance, whenever attacked there is a chance to randomly select a target, and after 8 seconds Astrid charges at her target for 7 seconds. If Astrid successfully hits that target during her charge, she deals damage to all targets in that target´s nearby.
Ceroli Crisis Earth Shatter
Earth Shatter
While in Club Stance, expend 2000 Rage and deal continuous area damage to all enemies in a forward-facing fan-shaped area, lasts for 3 seconds
Ceroli Crisis Intimidating Aura
Intimidating Aura
While in Club Stance, whenever attacked there´s a chance to Silence the target for 3 seconds.
Ceroli Crisis Broken Wings
Broken Wings
While in Club Stance, increases all damage death by 20%, but also increases all damage taken by 50%.
Ceroli Crisis Weapon Swap
Weapon Swap
At the battle start, Astrid will use a spear to Battle. After being in Spear Stance for 60 Seconds, Astrid will switch to Club Stance. After being in Club Stance for 60 seconds, Astrid will switch to Spear Stance.
Ceroli Crisis Royal Bloodline
Royal Bloodline
After being in the battle for 300 seconds, all damage dealt is increased by 10000%.

In order to defeat Astrid, you need mobility and single target DPS, although Yi Seong-Gye is always a good secondary to someone like Genghis Khan. An ideal lineup for higher difficulty should be 1 Tank, 3 DPS.

Astrid’s Weapon Swap skill allows her to swap between two stances, Spear Stance and Club Stance. She switches between the two Stances every 60 seconds, she is invulnerable when switching.

Spear Stance

Astrid begins the battle in Spear Stance. During Spear Stance she is able to use Spear Volley, Puncture Wounds, Ways of Fire. Just like any other Ceroli Boss, you’d want to be in one of the cardinal positions and far away from one another, this will allow DPS marches to avoid getting hit by Spear Volley. It’s important to avoid getting hit by Astrid’s skills whenever possible because she places Puncture Wounds debuff if either of her other two skills hit a target. This debuff can stack, each stack refreshes the duration and it significantly increases the damage you take.

Whenever Astrid uses Ways of Fire on a march, they will have an indicator above them that says “Get away from the boss”, which march has this indicator above them, they need to run away from Astrid. Astrid will then chase this march for the next 7 seconds, if she hits them then all nearby allies take damage and a stack of Puncture Wound debuff is placed on all the marches that took damage. However, if she is unable to hit them, then she will return to her original position and continue hitting the march that she was focusing on before.

Club Stance

Once Astrid enters Club Stance, her damage is increased by 20% but that damage she takes is also increased by 50%. Right after she enters Club Stance, the march she was focusing on, needs to run around the entire map and make Astrid follow them, meanwhile, the other three marches continues to hit Astrid. By doing do, Astrid won’t be able to use her Skill, Earth Shatter which deals massive continuous damage to all targets in a forward-facing fan-shaped area. This is why it’s important to avoid getting debuffed by Puncture Wound as it significantly increases the damage this skill can do.

Skybreaker CometGenerals with Moon Power can spend 1000 Rage to damage their current target. Plus additional damage to targets tagged with a Sun Power marker.
Silverhook AxeTroops under generals with Moon Power take 50% less damage from archers and 50% more damage from cavalry.
Starfall MightCommanders with Moon Power have a 70% chance of delaying damage to their present location when attacked and also releasing area damage on all target troops after 6 seconds. The use of this skill exposes commanders with Moon Power to 50%.
Circle of TreacheryGenerals with Moon Power have a 30% chance of causing circular area damage with each attack, which radiates out from a central location on the map after a short delay. The circle will expand again for another burst of delayed damage, and then one final time damage on all.
Burning GloryGenerals with Sun Power can spend 1000 Rage to damage up to 3 targets in a circular area. Damage is shared equally between all targets struck except for targets tagged with a Moon Power marker, which receive additional damage.
Golden CrusherTroops under generals with Sun Power take 50% less damage from Cavalry and 50% more damage from Archers.
Judgment DayGenerals with Moon Power have an 20% chance of silencing their attacker for 5 seconds when attacked. Cool down is 10 seconds.
Sundown SmashGenerals with Sun Power have an 80% chance of summoning a Kamikaze Sentinel when attacked. The Sentinel will attempt to move to another general’s location where it will explode damaging all surrounding targets and increasing all damage dealt by Ak.
Astral TwinsAk and Hok draw on a common pool of health. Ak uses Sun Power at the start of battle wheres Hok uses Moon Power. The twin brothers will exchange powers at every 90 seconds interval before continuing their fight.
Scarred RevengerAnyone hit by the active skill of a general with Sun Power will be tagged with a Sun Power marker for 120 seconds. Anyone hit by the active skill of general with Moon Power will be tagged with a Moon Power marker for 120 seconds. General’s active skills deal increased.
Royal BloodlineAfter being in battle for 300 seconds, all damage dealt is increased by 10000%.

For this Ceroli Crisis boss, we recommend using 2 Archer marches and 2 Cavalry Marches. Both Bosses have a marker above them indicating which type of Boss they are. Archers should attack the boss with Sun Marker and Cavalry should attack the boss with Moon marker as they take bonus damage from these units. Ak & Hok share the same health pool. So, if one of them dies, you’d win.

Try to pull these bosses away from each other. This serves two purpose:

Whenever a boss hits you with a Skill, you get a tag placed on you. If you take damage from Moon Power boss, then a Moon Marker is placed on you and the same goes for Sun Power Boss. Sun Power Boss’ skill Burning Glory deals bonus damage to marches marked with Moon Power and Moon Power Boss’ skill Skybreaker Comet deals bonus damage to marches marked with Sun Power.

The second reason why you want to separate them is because Sun Power boss uses Sundown Smash to summon a Sentinel, this Sentinel will move towards the other boss. If the bosses are separated, this Sentinel will take longer to move from one boss to another, giving you enough time to kill it.

Keep an eye out for Circle of Treachery, it causes circular area damage using Moon Power Boss as the epicenter, the area expands as it moves outwards. You’ll have enough time to move away. Do not get hit by this skill, it will take a huge chunk out of your health.

Every 90 secs, Ak & Hok will switch their powers using Astral Twins. When this happens, you and your teammates needs to switch the targets as well to retain the troop bonus damage.
