Rise of Kingdoms Arms Training Event Guide for Beginners
Arms Training event in Rise of Kingdoms becomes available during Special Events. During this event, you can challenge Armsmaster Lohar to earn various milestone rewards and try to score as high as you can to secure yourself a place in the Leaderboard for more rewards.
How to Play Arms Training
You can send only one march to attack Armsmaster Lohar during a session and fight him repeatedly without returning to your city. For the duration of the session, your march cannot receive any healing until it ends or you run out of troops whichever comes first. Make sure that you choose your strongest Commanders to participate in this event.
Armsmaster Lohar is an elite Barbarian, hence Bonus Barbarian Damage provided by Skills and Talents of Peacekeeping commanders and Equipment does not work against Armsmaster Lohar.
Armsmaster Lohar starts off with two starting skills and one Passive Skill, which you can choose from a list of 10 available Skills. After every 3 Victories, you are required to add a new skill to your Armsmaster Lohar from the list of available Skills. This will continue till you applied all of his skills or your march dies.
Each time you defeat Lohar, you will earn 10,000 points. The session ends when you are defeated, recall your troops to your city, given up or after defeating a fully upgraded Lohar 3 times and your final score is calculated.
If you were defeated midway, you will gain Bonus Points which are based on a percentage of the number of troops you defeated in your last battle with Lohar multiplied by 10,000. If you defeat a fully-upgraded Lohar 3 times, then Bonus Points will be based on the percentage of troops remaining multiplied by 10,000. If you are running for a spot in the Leaderboard make sure that you don’t give up or recall, instead let Lohar defeat you to get bonus points.
If you are fighting for a spot in the Leaderboard make sure that you have all the necessary buffs, which includes:
- Kingdom Title: Justice or better.
- Attack/Defense/Health Rune.
- War Frenzy – 3% Normal Attack buff.
- 50% Army Expansion
- Troop Attack +10% Boost

![]() Provoke Passive Skill | Whenever attacked, Lohar has a 30% chance to remove debuffs from his troops, and at the same time increase their attack and defense by 15% for 3 seconds. |
My preferred Skill Order for Armsmaster Lohar is Rapid Regeneration > Will of Battle > No Retreat > Reinforced Armor > Provoke > Combo Shots > Wild Rage > Strike of Vengeance > Master of the Bow > Malignant Venom
Healing Skills can be dealt with ease early on, if you’re using Saladin/Ramesses you can manipulate their healing, which saves you a lot of troops towards the later levels. Take Wild Rage before Strike of Vengeance, silence from Wild Rage will prevent you from triggering Strike of Vengeance too often. Master of the Bow can be annoying as it disables you for two seconds, so it’s best you save it for later and then finally go for Malignant Venom. If you take Malignant Venom, early on it will buff every single damage dealing ability of Lohar, his normal attacks, and his counterattacks which will result in you losing a lot of troops over time.
Commanders for Arms Training
These are the 4 commanders that have carried me in this event.
![]() Saladin | Lohar has two healing skills and Saladin gives you a way to reduce that healing by 50%. He also provides durability which will help you grind through the levels. |
![]() Genghis Khan | Genghis’s single-target DPS is second to none, he allows you to finish off targets relatively fast. |
![]() Yi Seong-Gye | YSG is another high DPS commander that works well for this event. |
![]() Ramesses | Ramesses is pretty durable (well, not as much as Saladin) but he can disable healing completely if you get lucky. He provides enormous amounts of stats and debuff as well. |
Avoid Infantry Commanders, Peacekeeping Commanders, and Commanders that rely on Normal Attack. Infantry Commanders deals 20% reduced damage to Armsmaster Lohar and Normal Attack reliant commanders take way too long to kill Lohar. Peacekeeping Commanders on the other hand cannot take advantage of their Bonus Damage to Barbarians as Lohar is an Elite Barbarian. You want to finish them off as fast as possible to avoid taking too much damage from Malignant Venom.
