In 270, Zenobia’s troops invaded the territory of the Roman Empire, took control of most of its eastern lands, and even took over Egypt. Until the middle of 271, the queen formally remained a vassal of Rome, but her territory stretched from Ankyra in the central part of Asia Minor to southern Egypt. In 272, the Roman army under the leadership of the emperor Aurelian defeated the troops of Zenobia, and she herself was captured. It is believed that she was exiled to an estate near Rome, where she spent the rest of her life.
Disclaimer: This is more like a first impression so I can’t really talk much about her.
Zenobia was released alongside Harald on 10.12.2020 in the Heroic Anthem Update. She is available for Kingdoms older than 310 Days and can only be obtained from The Mightiest Governor Event for now. She is a Legendary Infantry Commander and specializes in Garrisoning Stronghold and Cities and Supporting nearby allies by healing them.
Judging by her skills she is a dedicated Garrison Commander and has very limited usage outside of that. So, she most likely won’t attract F2P, low spenders. She seems like a well balanced Commander on paper, time will tell if she is.
Queen of Palmyra
Heals the nearby allied troop with the lowest percentage of units remaining (Healing Factor 100, can heal troops led by this commander) and then heals their own troops on the next turn (Healing Factor 500). Troops healed by this skill gain 20% increased health for 2 seconds.
Healing Factor: 100/ 150/ 200/ 250/ 300
Extra Healing Factor: 500/ 650/ 800/ 950/ 1100
Health Bonus: 20%/ 25%/ 30%/ 35%/ 40%
This skill is kind of like Alexander’s Skill but instead of a shield Zenobia heals herself and the lowest percentage nearby ally. The ally healing factor is kinda low but her superior rage regeneration from Rejuvenate allows her to spam this skill frequently. The best part about this skill is the 40% Health Bonus, it’ll make her insanely durable.
While this commander is leading the garrison of your own city or a stronghold, troops led by this commander take 3% reduced damage from normal attacks, and deal 3% increased normal attack damage.
Normal Attack Damage Reduction: 3%/6% /9% / 12%/ 15%
Normal Attack Damage Bonus: 3%/6% /9%/12% /15%
Infantry units led by this commander gain 10% increased health and 10% increased attack. All troops led by this commander deal 2% more damage to rallied troops.
Infantry Health Bonus: 10% / 12% 14%/ 16% /20%
Infantry Attack Bonus: 10% /12% /14% /16% / 20%
Damage to Rallied Armies Increased: 2%/4%/6% /86/ 10%
40% Infantry stats and another skill that benefits when she is in a Garrison.
While this commander is leading the garrison of your own city or a stronghold, the attacks of troops led by this commander have a 10% chance to deal extra damage per second to the target troop (Damage Factor 300) for 3 seconds. This skill’s damage per second effect can trigger once every 5 seconds.
Additional Damage Factor: 300/350/ 400/ 500/600
Another Garrison skill but instead of buffing normal attack this skill deals up to 1800 damage factor.
Enhanced: Queen of Palmyra
Heals the nearby allied troop (two allied troops while leading the garrison of your own city or a stronghold) with the lowest percentage of units remaining (Healing Factor 300, can heal troops led by this commander), and then heals their own troops on the next turn (Healing Factor 1100). Troops healed by this skill gain 50% increased health for 2 seconds.
Enhances her Active Skill to work on 2 allies if she is leading a Garrison and Health Bonus increased to 50%. To be honest, her expertise kinda feels underwhelming.
Best Talents for Zenobia
Garrison vs Normal Attack
This Talent build is geared towards Normal Attack Damage from Cavs, so we skip all talents that provide Skill Damage Reduction.
Garrison vs Skill Damage
Although 3 of her 4 skills (4 if you count Expertise) are geared towards Garrison, she can still be relevant in the open field as a relatively durable Support.
